This is a 250 micron PreScreen with a water-repelling hydrophobic mesh screen, which allows fuel to pass through while blocking water. Racor is the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) supplier of this filter element to John Deere and General Motors.

This part is used in various vehicles and equipment where a high quality PreScreen is desired, prior to the standard filtration system. John Deere adds these to Tier 3 and Tier 4 350 (4.5L and 6.8L), 450 (9.0L), and 650 (13.5L) engines. General Motors uses them in GMT610 vans, both full body and chassis cab versions.
